Daily Devotional - Transition to Power - WK31 - 07/31/24 - Day 192 "Brand New"

Brand New

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Devotion: Has anyone ever accused you of acting “brand new”? Or have you ever told that to someone? Acting brand new according to the world means you think you are hot stuff, usually after one gets something new that no one else has. Well, Paul was telling the Corinthian church to act brand new -  not because they were all that, but because they had been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. When we accept Christ into our lives, we are brand new. We should have a brand-new walk, talk and attitude. We are not better than anyone else, we are just thanking God for not being who we were.

Completing a transition means a visible change has occurred. As we have journeyed from Pentecost to Power, let us remember what we have learned along the way. Let us put into practice the things God has given us so that at this new level, we are stronger, mature and ready to face whatever may come. Transition is never easy, but, with God, all things are possible, and He makes everything brand new.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for carrying us through this transition. We appreciate the words You have given us to prepare us for this new level. Help us to walk in it with the authority and grace that You have given to us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
