 Behold, I Do a New Thing
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:19

Devotional:
In the verse before this one, (vs18) Isaiah tells the people that The Lord told them not to remember the former things nor consider the things of old. That was not to say, they shouldn’t think about the old things, but to not linger in the old. I wondered about that. Sometimes we can think the blessings that we have now is all there Is for us. But The Lord has so much more for us. Forget about that old car, that old house, that old job, etc. Not that you’re not grateful; because you are. But The Lord has some new 2024 things prepared for you.

He said, He will even make ways in the wilderness. What is a wilderness?  A Wilderness is a region of land that is uncultivated and uninhabited by humans. So this is saying that The Lord is going to make ways for us in areas that haven't even been tapped into yet. Then He’s going to provide a river in the desert. What is a desert? A Desert is a large, dry area of land with little vegetation. We know in most deserts there are no rivers, and actually no water. Many people die in the desert. But our Lord is going to provide life in areas that most people die in.

Today, remember to thank The Lord for providing you with everything you need even in those dry and uncultivated areas of your life. The Lord is a provider of all. 

Prayer:
Thank you Lord, for making ways for me in areas that most people don’t survive. In Jesus Name Amen.
