Spur One Another on Toward Love and Good Deeds
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:24-25

Devotional:
Think of the body as a team – each position has a role. When we become a part of the community of believers, we are supposed to take up a position. The devotion for today is about coming together as a body and provoking others to love and good works. Provoke means to incite, to stimulate, to deliberately make someone feel some type of emotion. The scripture says we are to stimulate or incite one another to love and doing good works. When we come together, we are looking towards the future together, which should spark a great response and emotion towards love and encouragement to one another.
The Bible says we should not forsake the assembly of ourselves together – which means we need one another. We need one another to lean on when times are hard, to uplift when someone is feeling down, to pray for each other, to love each other. We can do it from our home, but the Bible says when we are together, greater things can happen. My Spirit with your Spirit, my love with your love, my strength with your strength is needed – especially now when the world is in such turmoil. So much negativity, so much hatred, so many turning away from God. Let us come together and urge each other in love and strengthen the body.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your love, which is shown to us each and every day. Help us to help each other by sharpening one another in love and in doing good deeds. Help up to continue to come together because we are stronger together. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
