Looking Unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of Our Faith
“ Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”- Hebrews 12:2

Devotional:
I’ve been blessed to author five mini books, of which I am very proud. I took joy and pleasure in writing those books. There were many days I questioned whether anyone would even read them. The book sales and royalties answered that question for me. You’re probably wondering why I reference my book writing in association with this scripture. Here it is. Jesus is the author (originator) and finisher (perfector) of our faith (book-life)

He has taken joy (love) in enduring the cross for us. He knew that the writing of His story would be the beginning of our story. He knew, in spite of the shame He went through on the cross, He still went through it so that our story could have a happy ending.  We are writing our own mini books right now. Everyday is a page written. Everyday is a letter written to the author and finisher of our faith.

As you move throughout your day today, think about the story that’s being written about your life and make it a book that Jesus would be proud to say, “Authored by: Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of faith"

Prayer: 
Lord, I thank you for letting my life be a book you would be proud to put Your name on as the author. In Jesus Name, Amen.
