"More Grace"
Scripture: James 4:6 (NIV)

"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.'”

Devotion:
God's grace is boundless, an ever-flowing stream of mercy and favor. This verse reminds us that grace is available to those who approach Him with humility. Pride often leads us to rely on our own strength, wisdom, and plans, but humility acknowledges our need for God. It positions us to receive His blessings and guidance.

Pride erects barriers between us and God, but humility tears them down. By surrendering our ego and submitting to God, we align ourselves with His will. In doing so, we experience His grace in abundance—grace to endure trials, overcome sin, and grow in faith.

Ask yourself: Are there areas in my life where pride has crept in? Am I fully relying on God’s grace or leaning on my own understanding?

Action Step:
Today, practice humility by seeking God in prayer before making decisions. Reflect on areas where you can let go of self-reliance and trust in His grace. Offer encouragement to someone who might need to hear about God’s love and mercy.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your unending grace. Help me to walk in humility, laying down my pride and surrendering fully to You. Teach me to trust Your ways above my own and to seek Your favor in all that I do. Thank You for always meeting me with more grace. Amen.
