"Grace Through Faith"
Scripture: Romans 3:20-24 (NIV)

"Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Devotion:
This passage reminds us of a truth we often wrestle with: no amount of effort or good works can make us righteous before God. The law serves not as a ladder to salvation but as a mirror, revealing our need for a Savior. It shows us our shortcomings, our inability to meet God's perfect standard.

Yet, the beauty of the gospel shines in verses 21-24. God, in His infinite love, offers us righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. This righteousness is not something we earn, but a gift freely given. It bridges the gap between our sinfulness and God's glory.

We all fall short. But through Jesus' sacrifice, we are redeemed, justified, and made new. It’s not about who we are or what we’ve done but about who He is and what He has done for us.

Application:

• Reflect on areas where you may be striving for righteousness through your own efforts. Surrender them to God.
• Meditate on the truth that you are justified freely by His grace, and let it fill your heart with gratitude.
• Extend grace to others as God has extended grace to you.

Key Thought:
Our righteousness is not earned by works but received through faith in Christ alone.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your grace that covers my imperfections. I acknowledge that I cannot earn righteousness on my own. Help me to walk in faith, trusting in Your finished work on the cross. Let this truth shape my life and my interactions with others, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for us all. Amen.
