Members of One Body
“4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of one another.” – Romans 12:4-5

Devotional:
The body is different. Many members – different offices according to the scripture. However, we are one in Christ. So many times it may seem like you may want to step over and be something you are not, and, while good intentions are sometimes good, they can sometimes be detrimental to the body. Each office has a purpose, structured and ordained by God and only certain one or ones can fill that purpose. We are all members of the body, but that does not mean we can step over into a purpose that was not destined for us. Each office, each member is part of the whole, but is not interchangeable within the whole.
Let us focus on understanding our office, knowing what member we are, and strengthening the body in our respective office, so that when the body stands up, each part is running at maximum peak and not in the wrong place to the detriment of the body.

Prayer:
Father, allow me to know and remain in my place. Help me to understand that I can help the body best by being in the right place at the right time doing the right thing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
