My Grace is Sufficient for You
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Devotional:
At the beginning of the year, we find ourselves pressing the reset button.  People are fasting, making resolutions, they are determined to leave things behind them that they know were not pleasing to God; things that were hindering them from fulfilling their Godly purpose.  Many times, we feel, or let’s be honest, we know, that we have failed God. We serve a God who is patient and longsuffering, but we must not take advantage of God’s grace.

We may ask God to take certain characteristics out of us, remove us from certain situations in life, or even to be given another chance. But just as Jesus told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness”.  So we must fight on and not give up. We have to pray! And, when it seems too hard for us, remember that there is nothing too hard for God.  His grace is freely given to us, and His mercies are brand new every day. The grace of God gives us the ability to work freely in His kingdom. When we feel weak, His grace gives us the power to continue on the right path. God’s grace is More than Enough.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for Your grace, Your unmerited favor.  Thank You for the strength and power to move forward.  We thank You Jesus for a brand-new start, new mercies each and every morning. Father, we know that when we are weak, You will make us strong, and we say thank You for us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
