 A New Song in My Heart
“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” - Psalm 40:3

Devotional:
I remember the first time the Leviticus Singers of Charlotte’s first single “I Win” played on the radio. Man, that was an exciting moment. I was dropping my son, Max off at school, and as we turned the circle to pull up to let him out, the song started playing on the Word Network Radio. I screamed with a loud voice with excitement. It was so loud that the teacher asked me what was all the excitement about. I shared with her that our group's new song is playing on the radio. We celebrated together in the parking lot.

When God puts a new song in your heart there are expressions of joy, happiness, excitement and surprise. It illuminates so much that others can see it shining through your spirit.  That song is not a song we sing perse' but a song or praise, a song of thanksgiving. Many people don’t accept The Lord by listening to a preacher or reading the Bible.  But, they will listen to a song or watch your song through your spirit and know that there is something different about you, and they want to know what it is. That’s the fear David is referencing here. Reverence to God. When we let the new songs in our heart sing and or shine, it will draw people to The Lord.

Let your new song shine today, so that men will want to follow and glorify our Father, which is in Heaven.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank you for the new song you’ve given me. I thank you for letting my song be used as an instrument to draw people to you. In Jesus Name I pray Amen.
