“Gracefully Waiting”
Scripture: Isaiah 40:31 KJV

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Devotion:
We all know that patience is a virtue. But it’s not always easy. We live in a fast-paced world that says we should always be in motion. Why wait when I can access anything I want instantly with a click? They can deliver food and other items to me in just one Prime day. I can use Google or AI for an instant response. So why wait? Well, when we wait on God, we show Him we trust His plan for our lives. We show that our faith in Him is real and sure. However, the biggest reason we wait on God is because He strengthens us while we wait. He renews us when we wait. He empowers us through His grace to soar above our problems, to run this race of life and not get tired, and to walk and not faint. God gives us grace for the journey when we wait on Him. When we seek God in our lives for our next move, for His will and His purpose for us, we must wait until He speaks. God wants us to trust Him in ALL things. Even when we can’t trace Him, we can trust He is working all things out for our good, because He is!

Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for helping me wait patiently on You. Lord, strengthen me daily by helping me stay focused on the purpose and plans You have for my life. Amen.
