“He Remembered!” 
 
Scripture: Malachi 3:16-17 KJV

"16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him."
 
Devotion: There are times when we as believers question if serving God is really worth it. We wonder whether He hears/sees us, especially when life is “lifing.” It’s in these times that we have to know that not only does He hear us, but He remembers our faithfulness and reverence of who He is. Verse 16 shows this evidence when it mentions, “and the Lord hearkened, and heard it; a book of remembrance was written for those who feared the Lord.”

In other words, not only does God hear you, He remembers your worship as well! It doesn’t stop there. Because of your worship, God remembers you so that He can publicly declare that you are His jewel and spare you of your troubles. What a blessed consolation these two verses are to us as believers. God will not let faithfulness go unrewarded! He is listening to us and sees the reverent worship we offer up to Him, and will declare that we are His most prized jewels!
 
Prayer: Lord, we thank You for listening and remembering our worship. To know that You have a book with our names written in it is even more comforting. You are simply amazing God, and we will forever revere and worship Your Holy Name. Our desire is to hear You declare that we are Your jewels, Your special possession. Help us to never forget how special we are to You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen!
