My Strength Comes From The Lord
Scripture: Eph. 6:10 – "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."
Devotion: Going to work out to tone and build your muscles is a good thing. We need to take care of this temple that we were born with, however if we only take care of this body and not our spirit, then we will be out of balance. Looking good on the outside and torn down in our spirit.
God is concerned about the whole man. This is why He says, “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” In this fleshly body, we are no match for the devil regardless of how many muscles we have. Only when we are strong in God, will we have the power and the might to fight against the enemy to tare down his kingdom as we win souls for Christ.
How do we get this power from God, you may ask. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, reading Gods word, fasting and praying. This is how we get strong and stay strong in the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, help us to live a balanced life in You. Help us to strengthen our spirt man as we strengthen our body in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
