"A New Thing”

Isaiah 43:19
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Devotional:
In this scripture, Isaiah lets us know that God assured the people of Israel, His chosen people, that He will deliver them out of bondage, yet again; just as He delivered them out of Egypt and parted the Red Sea for their escape. He wanted them to know, just like He wants us to know today, He will make a way as only He can.  When the roads we are traveling become too difficult to bare, He is with us.  He is our way out of times of despair, darkness, depression, and heartache.  God wants us to trust Him because He loves for us.  He has not forgotten about us, even when we sometimes do not feel Him near. Be encouraged, because He will never leave us nor forsake us.

This scripture says, “Behold, I will do a new thing”; As children of God, we can attest that He has done and continues to do a “new thing” for all of us.  He has given His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior to save our souls, we have a New Life. He is our healer, provider, way maker and so much more. We have to know without a doubt that, if He did it before, He Will do it again.

Prayer:
Father God we thank You for all of the ways You make for us.  We thank You for giving Your only begotten son and for saving us, thank You Lord for Your unconditional love for us and Your gift of the Holy Spirit that guides us.  Help us to be willing vessels, trusting and casting all of our care on You.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
