“A Joyful Noise”

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.”
 Psalm 100:1

Devotional:
David recognized the importance of praise in his life. He was always singing and dancing – sometimes right out of his clothes. David understood the awesome power of God and had the highest reverence for Him. This scripture – all ten words – are very powerful. David is recognizing God for just being God and for being good. He goes on to admonish others to praise God as he does, with his whole heart. When we realize and recognize who God is and are exposed to His awesome power, our lives will never be the same. David understood that God inhabits the praises of His people, and David wanted to be in God’s presence.

As we continue this journey down the Road to Pentecost, let us remember a few things: God inhabits the praises of His people, praise will confuse the enemy, our joyful noise is a sweet savior in the nostrils of the Lord. Praise God, for He is worthy to be praised!!!

Prayer:
Father, we praise Your name for You being an awesome and powerful God. Help me to continue to keep a song in my heart and a praise on my lips.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
