“Charity”
“Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
I Corinthians 13:8

Devotional:
The definition of charity is the pure love which our Savior Jesus Christ has for us. His love never fails and is pure. Christ-like charity is exemplified when we show compassion for our brothers and sisters. Jesus knows that we are not perfect; however, He does want us to follow His example and exhibit the love like He shows to us. The scripture says that prophecies will fail and tongues will cease. This is evident because as people leave this earth, their gifts will die with them. This may seem a bit morbid, but we must be truthful in realizing that we will not live forever. God’s plan is for us to live with Him eternally. No matter how smart we are, when we die, the knowledge we have will perish with us.

God’s love will NEVER fail. It will never falter. It will never cease. As we continue down this holy Road to Pentecost, let us remember God’s love and ensure we are showing that love to all that we meet. It will never fail!

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You that Your love never fails. Help us to show Your love in our daily lives.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
