“Wait on the Lord”

“Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31

Devotional:
EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! God does not faint or get weary. He is the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. He is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful and HE LOVES US!!! He gives us power, grace, love, peace, strength and so much more! When times get difficult, and they will, let us remember that God will help us – if we wait on Him. This means not trying to do it my way, not trying to help Him out. The scripture says – WAIT! This can be so hard for some as they are used to being a problem solver, used to being the person everyone turns to for answers. But the scripture says WAIT!

When we WAIT, we shall be rewarded with peace and strength. When an eagle soars, it looks effortless to us, and God created it to be. When we wait upon Him, the battle is still there, but it is smooth sailing because we put it in the hands of the Master. When I walk or run, it doesn’t take long for me to be winded, but when I WAIT on the LORD, I will not be tired, I will not be faint, I will not be weary!

As we continue the Journey to Pentecost, remember to WAIT on the LORD and He shall renew your strength!

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your power, thank You that I can run this race and not get weary. Thank You that I cannot get faint.  If I continue to wait on You to renew me, I know I will soar like the eagles. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
