If Any of You Lack wisdom

James 1:5
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

Devotional:
 Living this life, we need wisdom to live and to think according to God’s truth, and His ways.
We need His wisdom so we can look at life from His perspective, believing that everything He says is right and true and the only worthy standard to live our lives by.

God’s wisdom is not only knowledge, but it’s the ability to make wise decisions in difficult circumstances. We can pray to God, and He will supply all the wisdom that we need.
God’s wisdom comes only to those who seek or ask of God through a proper relationship with Him. Having God’s wisdom begins with respect for Him, which leads to righteous living, and results in an increased ability to tell right from wrong.
If we need wisdom, we can pray to God and He will liberally, abundantly, not holding back anything - give to us all the wisdom we need to guide our daily choices.

Prayer:
Lord, give us a proper relationship with you. When we seek and ask for your wisdom, that you would shower us liberally,holding back nothing. Lord, give us your practical discernment, so we won’t grope around in the dark hoping to stumble upon answers. Father, help us to draw near and ask you for your wisdom in faith. I want to do your will and stay connected to you so I can live the way you want me to live. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
