Your Faith Moves God to Help Others

Mark 2:3-5, 10-11
3) And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4) And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof when he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5) When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 10) But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

Devotional:
Often times we think that our faith is all about us, but we are ever so wrong.  As we see in the scripture above, had it not been for the friends’ faith of the man that couldn’t walk, and their willingness to act on it, the man sick of the palsy would not have received salvation or his ability to walk.

Sometimes people feel that they have done so many bad things, that they think there is no hope, or that God will never hear their prayer.  Sometimes they are in a position that they can’t speak for themselves, so we, who have a relationship with God, have to stand in the gap for them. When Jesus sees how much we trust and believe in Him on behalf others, He will come and see about them.
 
As I think back over my life, and the times I was out there doing what I wanted to do, my father prayed for me.  He prayed God would protect and save me, and because of his faith in God on my behalf I am saved today, sanctified, filled with the Holy Spirit, and loving Jesus with everything in me. Never give up on another person; your faith might be the only thing that helps them find their way to Jesus.

As you go through out your day today, think of ways you've moved God and how your faith caused someone's life to change and be changed through The Holy Spirit. Let that be a reminder of the wonderful works God can do through  you.

Prayer:
Father help me to remember that just like I need your help, there are so many others who need you too, and I may be the only person they trust to get that breakthrough for them. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
