Spiritual Growth  
2 Peter 3:18
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

Devotional:
As we begin reading this scripture, let’s define three important words, Grace, Grow and Knowledge. Grace is – undeserved favor; it cannot be earned, and it is freely given. Grow is – to spring up and develop to maturity, to cultivate, develop, expand, flourish, gain increase, spread sprout, thrive, to come into existence, and arise. Knowledge is – to know by experience, it refers to examples, truths, and gives power.

The knowledge of God’s word will build us up. As children of God, we must recognize that while in the flesh, there is always more to learn, more to do, lessons to experience and to grow by. There is nothing like a life lesson or experience to bring awareness that we are forever disciples, striving, but never coming to maturity and a level of growth that we know it all. As we trust less in ourselves and more in our Lord and Savior, it is imperative that we learn more of Jesus Christ. As we serve Him more, the Fruit of the Spirit will begin to manifest more and will give others a reason to glorify God in Christ Jesus.

As you go throughout your day today, think about the grace of God, and identify areas in your life that you still need to grow in the grace of The Lord.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your amazing grace. Help us to grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ more and more every day. Help us to become like Him in all our ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
