“A Generous Heart”
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Devotion:
This passage reminds us of a powerful principle in God’s kingdom—what we sow, we will reap. If we give sparingly, we limit the blessings we can receive. But if we give generously, with a joyful heart, we open ourselves to God’s abundant provision.

Generosity is not just about money; it includes our time, kindness, encouragement, and love. God does not want us to give out of obligation or pressure but out of a willing and cheerful heart. When we trust Him and give freely, He promises to supply everything we need. His grace enables us to continue in good works, making a lasting impact in the lives of others.

Application:

• Examine your heart—are you giving joyfully or out of obligation?
• Look for ways to be generous today, whether through finances, encouragement, or acts of kindness.
• Trust that God will provide for you as you give to others.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your abundant grace and provision. Help me to have a generous heart, giving freely and cheerfully. I trust that You will meet my needs as I bless others. May my giving bring glory to You and be a reflection of Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
