“Walk Worthy of Your Calling”
Scripture: Philippians 1:27

“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;”

Devotion:
Paul’s letter to the Christians in Philippi was to remind them that it was important for them to behave themselves as children of the Kingdom of God. He let them know that they are to live a life that shows the purpose and high standards that God had called them to.  As Christians today, we are also called to represent Christ and to demonstrate our faith through our daily actions.  We are to live with a character of humility, love, and honesty; no matter who is watching. If we keep our minds focused and stayed on Jesus Christ, we will live a life of integrity and unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.  While we will be tested by the enemy, we must remember that God sees, and He knows. So, no matter what happens, as Paul said in his letter, we must choose to always strive to let our conversations and affairs be pleasing to God, ensuring that He is glorified in all that we say and do.  Let’s stand firm in the Spirit, studying The Word, and fasting and praying so that our conduct will be worthy to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Father we pray that You will direct us to live our lives pleasing to You through our words and actions. May Your Spirit guide us to keep our minds focused on working with our brothers and sisters in faith so that we can effectively spread Your Gospel. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
