Daily Devotional - Terms of Agreement - WK7 - 2/13/25 - Day 44 - "Sharing Faith and Favor"

“Sharing Faith and Favor”
Scripture: Acts 2:47
 
“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

Devotion:
Paul described the life of the early church in verses 46 and 47. He encouraged those who may had gotten discouraged with things that were transpiring in the church.  He let them know how the people came together and praised Jesus together in the Temple, ate together in their homes, and celebrated The Lord’s Supper. We oftentimes find ourselves sharing with others when inviting them to our places of worship, or at least we should be sharing the good things that we do in fellowship, and more importantly, the Good News of Jesus Christ.  As workers with Jesus, if we are obedient, He will guide us to those who are willing to hear our witness.  The Scripture lets us know that it is The Lord who adds to the church daily such as should be saved. So as servants of our Lord and Savior Christ, we are to do as His Word says in Luke 14:23 - Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled…., and when they come, we have to be prepared to receive them.  We have to worship together in unity and in peace. Showing examples of God’s love!

Prayer:
Lord, we pray that You would give us guidance and Holy boldness to ‘Go out beyond the walls of the church building’ to reach others. We want to reach the lost, those who may have experienced church hurt in the past, and those who may have never heard about the plan of salvation. We praise You for Your plan of salvation and  thank You for adding to the church daily such as should be saved.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen
