“Worship in the Waiting”
 Scripture: Acts 16:25, NIV

"About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them."

Devotion:
As we wait for God to come through for us, it’s important to pay attention to our posture and how we wait. In this moment, Paul and Silas were in a very bad state. They had been beaten and thrown into prison because they were being loud about their belief in the Most High God. Even though they were beaten, shackled by their feet, and thrown into prison, they still used their mouths to sing praises unto the God that they served. They praised so loudly that they got the other prisoners’ attention, and something supernatural happened.

What do you do when the cares of life have you shackled? Maybe not by your feet as they were, but by your finances, job, family, troubled relationships or even self-doubt? My advice is to continue to have a praise. No matter what comes or goes, never lose your Hallelujah or Thank You Jesus. Not only will you be encouraging yourself, but you’ll be encouraging others around you & suddenly, God will start to move.

Prayer:
God we thank You. We thank You for Your love and we thank You for Your presence. We are thankful that no matter where we may find ourselves, You will be right there with us. Give us the faith and courage to praise You no matter how we are feeling and no matter how bad the circumstances are. We will remain encouraged and know that when two or three are gathered in Your name, You will be in the midst and something Will happen! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
