“The Good Book!”
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16, NLT

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

Devotion:
I remember growing up, hearing the seasoned saints referring to The Bible as, “the good book.” Of course, as a child, I didn’t necessarily understand what they were talking about. As I grow older, I am understanding it more and more. The Bible is our direct guide on how to live in and work for the Kingdom of God. Sometimes we find ourselves on the right side of the Scriptures and other times we are on the wrong side. Today’s Scripture solidifies this very concept. The Bible has not changed and will not change. It’s up to us as individuals to learn the lessons that we need to and change ourselves for the betterment of the Kingdom. Whenever there’s a need for self-examination, check in the Word and God will lead to where we need to improve and where we need to maintain.

Prayer:
God, we thank You for Your Word. Help us to continue to use The Bible as our guide to growing closer to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
