Daily Devotional - The Work Continues - WK31 - 8/2/25 - Day 214 - "Nobody But God"

“Nobody but God!”
Scripture: Philippians 2:13, NIV

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

Devotion:
Every gift, ability, and blessing we have is because of the goodness of God. We don’t deserve them, we can’t earn them, and we can’t repay them. God’s Spirit empowers us to fulfill the purpose that He has placed in our lives. We must humbly submit to His will and walk in obedience to what He has called us to do. It is so important that we never forget that it is by God’s grace and mercy that we are saved. Jesus set the greatest example of all of what it means to completely be used by God. He humbly came down from glory, served, worked, and ultimately sacrificed to redeem a lost world. Jesus showed us that it was nobody but God! I am sure if you take a few minutes this morning and think back over your life you too share some nobody but God moments. How awesome is it to know that we don’t have to figure this life out by ourselves, but that we have a loving Father who is willing and able to literally order our steps and direct our paths. All we have to do is be willing to trust Him enough to follow Him.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being so good to us. Help us trust and depend on You in every area of our lives and rejoice in You always. Help us to submit to You in every area of our lives as You order our steps and direct our paths for your righteousness sake. Amen.
