Daily Devotional - Cause for Celebration - WK51 - 12/15/24 - Day 329 -"Rejoice for All"

“Rejoice For All”
Scripture: Luke 15:10

“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

Devotion:
The preceding scriptures talk about how the shepherd loses a sheep, and he leaves the ninety-nine and goes out to find one. It tells how happy he is when he finds it. It also talks about a lady who loses one silver coin, and she lights a candle and sweeps the floor until she finds it. In both cases, they were so happy that they called their friends, and rejoiced together.  The Bible says it's more joy in heaven when one sinner comes to Christ, than ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.

Yes, it is a blessing when we get saved. That is what we're supposed to do for ourselves, but we also are commissioned to go out and get others and bring them to  Christ. The Bible tells us to go out in the highway and hedges and compel men to come. No one said it would be an easy task, but we are to do it.

And just like the angels who get happy and rejoice in heaven when one new soul comes to Christ, we should do the same thing. We should rejoice and let that person know how happy we are for them. Tell them about the new life they have just chosen, and let them know that regardless of how things were in the past;  they now have The Lord on their side and that Jesus is there interceding for them as the Holy Spirit leads and guides them into all truth. This should be a joyous time in the church every time we get a chance to snatch back a sinner from the grips of the devil.

Prayer:
Jesus, we thank You for commissioning us to go out and to bring souls into the Kingdom. Help us to remember to be happy for them. Showing them love and joy as they become one of our brothers and sisters in Christ, knowing that the enemy no longer has control over their lives. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
