Daily Devotional - Times of Refreshing - WK28 - 7/9/25 - Day 190 - "My Hiding Place"

“My Hiding Place!”
Scripture: Psalm 64:10 NIV

“The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in him!”

Devotion:
Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my Grandmother. This is due to my mother being a young, single woman, who was trying to make it in society. Because of this, my grandmother and I were extremely close. I remember when I would get into trouble with my mom, I would run to my grandma, and hide behind her, hoping that she could shield me from the whooping I was about to get. There were times this did not work, but most times, it did! My grandmother was my refuge, my hiding place! I knew that she would look out for me and because of that, I would be happy and go on with whatever I was doing, because I knew that I would be protected. This is the same feeling we as believers should have about our Savior. Today’s Scripture shows us that we, as the righteous, have a hiding place in the Lord. He always protects us and looks out for our well-being. So the next time you are feeling some type of way, remember that you are righteous and that God is your refuge and hiding place!

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for being our refuge and hiding place. We appreciate You for always looking out for us in every situation. You are the ultimate protector and we will forever be in awe of Your glory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
