"Not My Four and No More"
Scripture: Philippians 2:4

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Devotion:
In a world often focused on self-promotion, success, and individualism, Philippians 2:4 calls us to take a different path — one of selflessness and compassion. Paul is reminding us that life is not just about what we want or need. As followers of Christ, we are called to be mindful of the people around us and to consider how we can serve and bless them. This scripture encourages us to live in a way that mirrors the heart of Christ, who always puts others before Himself.

The love that Christ calls us to exhibit is one that actively seeks the well-being of others, even when it is inconvenient or uncomfortable. When we take time to care for those around us, whether it’s through a listening ear, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement, we are living out the message of Philippians 2:4. It transforms not only our hearts but the lives of those we touch.

Application:
Today, make it a point to do something for someone else. It could be offering a word of encouragement, helping someone with a task, or simply being present and listening to a friend. As you do, remember that when you put others' needs ahead of your own, you are reflecting the love of Christ.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to look beyond my own needs today and see the needs of those around me. Teach me to love selflessly, just as You have loved me. May I be a reflection of Your heart, showing kindness, grace, and compassion to others. Help me to be a vessel of Your love in every encounter. Amen.
