"Justice Leads"
Scripture: Proverbs 29:14

“The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.”

Devotion: 
Proverbs 29:14 emphasizes the importance of fairness and justice, particularly towards those who are vulnerable, like the poor. In biblical times, the king was seen as the ultimate authority, but his power was not meant for personal gain. Instead, it was a responsibility to serve others with wisdom and fairness, especially those who could easily be overlooked or mistreated.

This verse reminds us that true leadership—whether in a position of power, within our families, workplaces, or communities—requires justice and compassion for all people. When we treat others fairly, especially those who are less fortunate, we align ourselves with God's will. Such actions have lasting impact, not just in the immediate moment but in shaping the legacy we leave behind.

We may not be kings, but we are called to reflect God's heart of justice wherever we are. A throne may not be established for us, but we can build relationships, reputations, and communities that stand firm when we practice fairness and equity.

Application:
Today, look for opportunities to be fair and just, especially in situations where someone is marginalized or overlooked. Whether it’s through a kind word, a fair decision, or an act of generosity, reflect God’s justice in your interactions.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to see others with Your eyes of compassion and justice. Teach me to treat everyone, especially those who are vulnerable, with fairness and kindness. May my actions reflect Your love and establish lasting peace and righteousness in the lives of those I encounter. Amen.
