“I’m Full!”
Scripture: Romans 15:13 NLT

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Devotion:
I don’t know about you, but nothing is more satisfying than having a good hearty meal, especially when it’s something you have been craving. Most times, my eyes are larger than my stomach, which causes me to not always eat everything on my plate. Those that know me extremely well will tell you that my general response is, “I’m full!” This means that I have consumed all that I am able to and can’t take on any more food, no matter how good it is. Today’s Scripture reminds me of those times. When we trust in God, He fills and fulfills our lives with all the joy and peace we could imagine. So much so, we become full and begin to overflow with His goodness in our lives. It’s as if the blessings of God overtakes us until we can’t take anymore. I don’t know about you, but THAT is a beautiful conclusion to the matter. The more we trust God, the more He fills us, the more we overflow with His joy and peace that surpasses all understanding!

Prayer:
Jesus, we thank You for Your everflowing stream of joy and peace. We are full! We ask that You continue to pour out Your goodness over our lives until we overflow! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
