“God is in Control”
Scripture: Proverbs 21:1

“The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”

Devotion:
This scripture lets us know that even in our lives today, we can have peace, knowing that God is in Control!  We can be confident that Our God is greater than any earthly leader.  Our God reigns!  Even in this upcoming Presidential race, we have to trust Our God.  Based on this scripture alone, we should be led to praise God for His sovereignty, knowing that we serve a God who has total rule over the hearts of leaders.  As it is written in this scripture, the king’s heart is like rivers of water in God’s hand, and just as He turns the water any direction, so can He also turn the heart of powerful men. He is all powerful, therefore we should not be concerned, because as believers in Him, He is on our side. He loves us and is concerned about us. We have to remember as leaders ourselves, whether in our families or leaders of a group of people in our workforces, ministries, etc., that we are to submit our hearts and minds to the Lord’s guidance for the good of all people. Just as King Solomon asked God for wisdom, let’s seek God’s wisdom and surrender to Him.

Prayer:  
Heavenly Father, we thank You for being all powerful. Help us to trust you even more, knowing that you are in full control and directing the hearts of earthly leaders on our behalf. Let us be the leaders that you are calling for in these last and evil days.  Give us a heart to pray for all leaders.  In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
