"A Wealthy Place"

Psalm 66:12
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to [a]rich fulfillment.

Devotional:
We went through the fire and through water, but you brought us out to a wealthy place. These trials can sometimes take us down to some very low places. Sometimes, we feel like all hope is lost and there is no way out. But, what we must remember is this. God is always with us. It might not look like it, but He is.

Trials come to make us strong not to make us weak to the point we want to give up. Yes, we want to be weak only to allow the Lord to be strong for us. That's how we get our testimony. When God shows himself strong in our lives.

In this scripture David is talking about the goodness of God and how He has brought the children of Israel out of some pretty tough places. David references God causing men to ride over their heads and how they went through fire and water but yet, He brought them out on the other side better than they were when they went it. He said they were brought to a wealthy place. A place of abundance. A place where every need was met. They didn't want for anything.

The Lord is the same way with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He takes us through trials so that His glory can be revealed to the world through our testimony.

As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ Jesus, don't forget about the victory He won for us so we can rest with Him in that eternal wealthy place. Paradise.

Prayer:
Lord, we than You for Your son Christ Jesus who died on the cross for our sins so that we might be free and reconciled back to You. We thank You for the earthly wealthy place, but we also thank You for the ultimate wealthy place, and that's in Paradise with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
