My Thoughts

- Isaiah 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Devotional:
It’s been said that couples who have been married for a long time begin to finish each other’s thoughts and sentences. They can predict what the other person is going to do before they even make a move. Some even say, their souls become as one. Some even say that we have ways alike. We both sing, we both like sports, we both are morning people, or night owls. It all sounds good, and some could be true, in the flesh that is. There is one who we could never become one in thought with, and that is The Lord.

Romans 11:8 reminds us that His ways are past finding out. They are so far from our reach that we shouldn’t even think about how to figure Him out. I believe that’s where scientists struggle. They can’t imagine that The Lord can’t be figured out, as they are the ones who like to discover and solve problems. This we know for sure, there is no problem with The Lord.

Therefore, ease your mind. Let’s not try to figure out how God moves and does what He does. All we need to do is have faith in His ability to think for us and to move on our behalf.  As you go through day five of your Daniel fast, focus on the goodness of The Lord and what He is doing for you. For His thoughts of you are peace, and not of evil, and to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11.
 
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for thinking for me. Thank You for taking the pressure from me in trying to figure out how things will end for me. I walk and believe in what You've said, You will perfect those things that concerns me. Psalm 138:8. In Jesus's name, Amen.
