“A House That Rejoices”
Scripture: Acts 16:34, KJV
 
“And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.”

Devotion:
There’s a unique joy that fills a home when hearts believe in God. In Acts 16:34, we read about the jailer in Philippi — a man who, just hours before, was on the edge of despair. But after witnessing the power of God through Paul and Silas, and hearing the message of salvation, his life was transformed. The jailer not only received peace in his heart, but his whole household was also saved. He was grateful to the men of God and welcomed them into his home, cared for them, and celebrated with a heart full of gratitude.

When Jesus enters a home, wounds are healed, fear is replaced with faith, and sorrow turns into rejoicing. When even one person in a household chooses to believe, that decision can open the door to spiritual transformation for the entire family. No matter what your home looks like today — broken, blended, or blessed — know that God desires to fill it with His joy. Faith in Jesus changes not just lives, but entire homes.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank You for the joy that comes through believing in You. I pray You would fill my home with Your presence, Your peace, and Your joy. Help me to be a light in my home, showing hospitality, faith, and compassion to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
