Day 29: Restoration in Relationships
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."

Devotional:
“If it be possible,” …as to say there is a possibility, it may not be possible. Paul knew it was hard for us to get along, which is why he said, “if it be possible and there be some good in you, try your best to get along with everyone.” We’ve all been challenged with getting along with someone. It could be your family members, co-workers, neighbors, or even your best friends. We’ve all had an experience where peace in a relationship needed restoring.
Relationships have been a challenge for humans from the beginning of time. Even God had an estranged relationship with Adam and Eve after they disobeyed Him and He put them out of his house (the garden of Eden). Then Adam and Eve had battle wars with each other because of the sin they both committed by going against the instructions given by God. There was no peace in the home, and it trickled down to their sons, Cain and Able.
Life brings on conflict as we all have different perspectives of how things should be done. We don’t all speak the same language, share the same views, or understand everyone’s culture. But what we can do with the good that is within us, strive to walk in peace with everyone. I believe living in peace with all men is to not have any hatred, no malice, and no strife against anyone. It will take the Holy Ghost for some of us to walk in that kind of peace. But it is possible when our minds have been renewed and our hearts are turned towards God. Rev. 21:5 reminds us that God makes all things new and that includes relationships.
Prayer:
Lord, I understand it is hard for me to find peace in my situation, but I am believing, through the Holy Spirit, my heart can be changed and that I can and will walk peaceably with everyone. I decree and declare today; I will let the peace of God rule my heart and restore the joy I once had in my relationships from today and forever more! IAmen
