Day 8: Fruitfulness in Service

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." - John 15:5
Devotional:
"The call to serve is inseparable from the Christian experience, but service without spiritual fruitfulness can be empty and frustrating. The key to fruitful service is remaining connected to Jesus, the True Vine. When we abide in Him, we tap into the divine resources necessary for effective ministry and service.
The beauty of this metaphor is that the branch doesn’t struggle to produce fruit; it comes naturally as long as the branch remains connected to the vine. The same principle applies to us. The fruit—be it love, joy, peace, or any form of effective service—comes naturally when we are rooted in Christ.
As you ponder your service to God and others today, ask yourself if you are truly abiding in Christ. Are your activities driven by a deep-rooted connection with Him? Bring this before God in prayer, asking Him to help you abide in Him so you can bear much fruit."
Prayer:
Father, help me to abide in You so that I may bear fruit in every area of my life and service. Without You, I can do nothing. Amen.
