The Process

Scripture: Mark 1:8 NLT
 "I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

Devotion:
Jesus will baptize us with the Holy Spirit to live within us.  John’s baptism was to prepare a person to receive Christ’s message. As much as I have heard, “there is a process;” when I heard that phrase being used by friends of mine that I met in church, I felt they used it to continue in their sin.  At that time, I was seeking to be delivered from smoking cigarettes.  I was convicted for still going with them, even though I didn’t smoke.  I made a presence in that area and a thought came to my mind, if I wanted deliverance, I had to change where I walked.  After about three Sundays, I confessed to be healed and delivered, that the Holy Spirit took the taste out of my mouth and freed me from the desire to smoke ever again. This was the beginning of my process of my faith journey, and others in the smoking circle were delivered from habits of smoking as well.

I encourage you to stay true and committed to your journey for a renewed mind, body, soul and life.  Pray and believe for the power of the Holy Spirit to enter in.  You won’t have to go alone, for He, the Holy Spirit, dwells within us to strengthen us when we feel we’re falling into temptation.

As a part of our process, we must learn to trust God and rely on the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us.

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, which guides us each and every day. Thank You for our deliverance and for Your Strength. In Jesus’ name Amen.
