“Blessed Hope”
Scripture: “For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?” (Romans 8:24 NIV)

Devotional:
Today’s scripture brings to mind another very familiar scripture found in Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When I think of the concept of hope, I think of the foundation of my faith. We don’t know exactly what our futures hold, and we don’t know exactly what heaven will be like. However, we can rest assured through our faith that if we live right, heaven belongs to us. Our spiritual fate was signed, sealed, and delivered when we accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts, and we made up our minds to live holy-purpose-filled lives. We have a blessed hope through the gift of salvation that God has plans to prosper us in every area of our lives. All we have to do is stand on the promises of God. God’s word is infallible, and it always performs what it is set forth to do. Let us celebrate today the blessed hope that we have through the gift of salvation!

Prayer: 
Thank you, God, for the faith and hope that you have given me. I trust you completely with the plans you have for my life. Amen.
