Author: Evangelist Jamie Hoffman

“The Power of God’s Spirit”
Scripture: Joel 2:28

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”

Devotion:
Today’s Scripture is a well-known one found in the Old Testament. Joel described the coming outpouring of the Holy Spirit. After Jesus ascended unto glory, He let us know He was going to send the gift of a comforter, the Holy Spirit, to help keep us. We are still seeing and living in the outpouring of God’s Spirit just like the women and men experienced on the Day of Pentecost.

I am sure we can all testify to our experiences with the power and goodness of the Holy Spirit. When God’s Spirit moves, transformation, miracles, signs, and wonders come forth. God wants us to be led by His Spirit and not our own fleshly desires. When we submit to and obey God, He shows up and shows out on our behalf. When you have seen God move, there is nothing that can make you doubt Him.

God’s power and glory are truly amazing. Despite what the current worldview would like us to believe, God is still pouring out His Spirit. Miracles, signs, and wonders are still being performed. Glory be to God!

Prayer:
God, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for how You show up and move on our behalf time and time again. Please continue to rest, rule, and abide in our hearts always. Amen.
