“Work Diligently/With All Your Might”
 Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:10
 
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

Devotion:
Because life is fleeting, God calls us to live intentionally and with urgency. Whatever task we find ourselves doing, whether it is large or small, it deserves our full effort. Doing our work “with all our might” is not about striving for perfection or burning ourselves out. It is about putting our whole heart into it. When we do our responsibilities with intention, gratitude, and excellence, we honor God and make the most of the time He has given us.

This verse should encourage us not to procrastinate, which I know I am sometimes guilty of, but to live our lives remembering that every moment matters. The tasks that God entrusts us with are important, and in John 9:4 Jesus told His disciples to “work while it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work.” Let’s do the work at hand, serving God with all that we have, while we are yet able.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to approach our tasks with intentionality and urgency. Teach us to give our best in all that we do, not for recognition from others, but to honor You. Use us for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
