“The Knock That Changes Everything”
Scripture: Revelation 3:20

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me"

Devotion:
Jesus doesn’t force His way into anyone’s life — He knocks. That alone reveals His heart: patient, gentle, and deeply relational. This verse isn’t written to unbelievers; it’s written to the church. To people who already know His name. To hearts that may have grown distracted, distant, or simply busy. Yet Jesus doesn’t walk away.

He stays at the door.
He knocks.
He calls.
He waits.

And the promise is stunning: “I will come in… and dine with him.” In Scripture, dining is a symbol of closeness, fellowship, and shared life. Jesus isn’t asking for a moment He’s asking for relationship. He wants to sit with you, strengthen you, speak to you, and restore what’s been worn down within you.

Every knock from Jesus is an invitation to deeper intimacy. Every whisper is a reminder that He wants to be involved in the details of your day. Today, the question isn’t whether He’s knocking. The question is whether you’ll pause long enough to open the door.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for pursuing me with patience and love. Help me recognize Your voice and respond quickly. I open the door of my heart today — come in, lead me, and fellowship with me.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
