“Trust Him With Your Plans”
Scripture: Proverbs 16:3, AMP

“Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].”

Devotion:
Planning is a natural part of life. We set goals, make schedules, and envision the future, often with good intentions and careful thought. Yet our plans are not meant to stand alone. True stability and direction come when our works—and our hearts behind them—are fully committed to the Lord.

To “commit” in this verse carries the idea of rolling something onto another. God invites us to roll our plans, decisions, and efforts onto Him, trusting His wisdom more than our own understanding so that He can establish them, which aligns with His purpose, strengthens what's right, and redirects what is not.

Trusting God with our plans requires humility and faith. It means being willing to let Him adjust our timeline, change our direction, or close doors we thought were essential. But when our plans rest in His hands, we gain peace instead of pressure and confidence instead of anxiety.

Prayer:
Lord, I commit my plans, my work, and my future to You. Align my desires with Your will and establish what brings You glory. May every plan I make be surrendered to You, knowing that You lead me in the best way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
