“Disciples Bear Fruit”
Scripture: John 15:8

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

Devotion:
In this verse, Jesus makes it clear that fruitfulness is not optional for the believer—it is the evidence of discipleship. Bearing fruit brings glory to the Father because it reveals His work in us and through us. Fruit grows naturally when we remain connected to the vine. When we walk closely with Him, spiritual fruit becomes the natural result. The more we depend on Him, the more our lives reflect His heart and purpose.

Jesus also links fruitfulness to identity: “so shall ye be my disciples.” Discipleship is more than belief—it is transformation. As we follow Christ daily, our lives begin to change in ways that bless others and honor God. Bearing much fruit is both a calling and a testimony, showing the world that we belong to Him.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to remain in Christ so that my life bears much fruit. Shape my heart, my actions, and my attitudes to reflect true discipleship. May the fruit of my life point others to You and honor Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
