“Walk as Jesus Walked!”
 Scripture: 1 John 2:6
 
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

Devotion:
We often say we follow Jesus, but 1 John 2:6 reminds us that saying we follow Him must be more than words. It means that our lives should reflect His life. Our attitudes, our choices, how we respond in certain situations, and our love for others should reflect the way Jesus walked.

Jesus left us an example as He lived in complete obedience to the Father. He walked in humility, showed compassion to the broken, and loved unconditionally even when it cost Him to sacrifice everything. When we say we belong to Him, our daily walk becomes a testimony for all to see because the world looks at our actions.

No, we are not going to get it all right; this verse is more about us being intentional and truly having a relationship with Christ. Yes, we may stumble, but our hearts should be set on becoming more like Him. If we abide in Jesus, we have to depend on Him, remain in His Word, and yield to the Holy Spirit for guidance and strength. We must live our lives in such a way that we are pointing others to Him!

Prayer:
Lord, help us not only to confess our faith with our lips but to live it out with our lives. Teach us to walk as You walked, with love, humility, and obedience. And, let our hearts be a reflection of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
