“God Is Watching Over His Word”
Scripture: Jeremiah 1:11-12

"Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it."

Devotion:
When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet, He gave him a vision of an almond branch. In Israel, the almond tree was known as the first tree to awaken and blossom after winter. It became a symbol of watchfulness and readiness.

God used this picture to teach Jeremiah a powerful lesson: God watches over His Word and is faithful to accomplish what He has promised.

At times, it may seem as though God's promises are delayed. We pray, wait, and wonder if He has heard us. Circumstances may appear unchanged, and answers may not come as quickly as we expect. Yet God's timing is never late. He is always working behind the scenes to bring His purposes to pass.

Just as He assured Jeremiah, God assures us that His Word is trustworthy. Every promise He has spoken, every purpose He has declared, and every plan He has established will be fulfilled in His perfect time. What God says, He will do.

Today, if you are waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, or the fulfillment of God's promise, remember that He is watching over His Word. Your waiting is not wasted. God is actively working, even when you cannot yet see the results.

Reflection Questions:

1. What promise from God's Word are you holding onto today?
2. Have you become discouraged while waiting for God to act?
3. How can you trust God's timing more fully in your current situation?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are faithful to every promise You make. Help me trust You when answers seem delayed and circumstances seem unchanged. Remind me that You are watching over Your Word and working according to Your perfect plan. Strengthen my faith as I wait on You and help me rest in Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
