“The Blessed Crop”
Scripture: Genesis 26:12, NIV

"Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.”

Devotion:
Can you imagine planting a crop in a famine and expecting a great harvest? Today’s Scripture proved that when you place your faith and trust in God, miracles, signs, and wonders happen. Isaac was obedient to God. He stayed put, and he planted during a dry season. Because of his faithfulness and obedience to God, his reward was great.

It’s easy to trust God in times of plenty, but can we trust Him in times of lack? God wants our total submission and obedience to His will for our lives in every season of our lives. We have to trust and depend on God at ALL times!

Some of us have been planting for a long time, and it seems like the dry season won’t ever end. But God! In due season, God is more than able to give us a great harvest if we remain obedient to Him. We can’t get weary of well-doing, and we can’t faint; we have to keep on pressing! There is a blessing in the pressing!
 
Prayer:
God, help me be faithful and obedient to You in every season of my life. I trust You in all things. Amen.
