“God's Blessing Has a Purpose”
Scripture: Psalm 67:6

“Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.”

Devotion:
Psalm 67 is a beautiful reminder that God's blessings are not merely for our enjoyment but also for His glory. In this verse, the psalmist celebrates God's provision as the land produces its harvest. The fruitful harvest was evidence of God's faithfulness and care for His people.

Just as God blessed the fields with abundance, He continues to bless our lives in countless ways. His blessings may come through provision, opportunities, relationships, health, wisdom, or spiritual growth. Every good gift we receive comes from His gracious hand.

However, Psalm 67 also teaches that God's blessings have a greater purpose. Earlier in the psalm, the writer prays that God's ways may be known throughout the earth. God's provision is intended to inspire gratitude, deepen our trust in Him, and enable us to be a blessing to others.

When we recognize that all we have comes from God, our hearts shift from entitlement to thankfulness. We begin to see His hand at work in both the extraordinary and the ordinary moments of life.

Application:
Take time today to reflect on the ways God has blessed you. Make a list of three specific blessings and thank Him for each one. Then ask yourself how you can use those blessings to encourage, serve, or bless someone else.

God's blessings are not just gifts to enjoy; they are opportunities to glorify Him and bless others.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithful provision in my life. Every good thing I have comes from You. Help me never to take Your blessings for granted. Fill my heart with gratitude and teach me to use what You have given me for Your glory and the benefit of others. May my life point people to Your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
