“Grace Overflowing”
 Scripture: John 1:16
 
"And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace."

Devotion:
John lets us know in this Scripture that Jesus is full of grace. Jesus is not just a source of grace; He is the fullness of it.  “Grace for grace” in the Word means continuous, overflowing, never-ending favor from God. When one moment requires strength, grace is there. When another moment brings failure, grace meets us there. When we grow, when we stumble, even when we are rejoicing, His grace will cover all seasons our lives.

There will be times that we will feel broken and empty. In those times, we can faithfully trust that God’s supply of grace never runs out.  We are reminded that the Lord is full of compassion. Others may run out of patience, time or the desire to help us, but there is no shortage in Jesus. His grace and mercy are provided to us daily. Thank God that His grace is not a one-time gift; no, His grace is ever flowing!

Today, whatever you are facing, remember you are not drawing from your own strength. You are drawing from His fullness.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the fullness we find in You. Thank You for providing grace upon grace. When we feel empty, remind us that You are full. When we feel weak, remind us that Your strength is available to us. Help us to depend on Your daily grace instead of our own understanding and teach us to extend grace to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
