“Gifts for All Men”
Scripture: Ephesians 4:8

“Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men!”

Devotion:
When Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, He did not leave His people empty-handed. Instead, He poured out spiritual gifts—divinely appointed abilities and graces—to build His Church, bless His people, and reveal His glory on the earth. The phrase “led captivity captive” reminds us that Christ defeated every force that once held us bound. Sin, fear, death, darkness, and spiritual oppression all lost their power when Jesus rose victorious. And from that victory, He distributed gifts to men—all men, not just a selected few.

Every believer is included in God’s divine distribution. You have something heaven-given inside you—something designed not only to bless you, but to bless others. Some gifts strengthen, some teach, some encourage, some serve, some give direction, and some inspire. But all of them reveal the heart of a generous God who equips every one of His children. Your gift—no matter how quiet or unseen—matters. It was chosen for you, entrusted to you, and intended to flow through you. Today, walk boldly in the grace given to you. Don't compare your gift to someone else’s. Cultivate it. Use it. Shine with it. Because God placed it in you on purpose.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank You for empowering me, equipping me, and calling me with purpose. Teach me to recognize the gifts You have placed within me and to use them for Your glory. Help me walk boldly and faithfully in my calling, blessing others as You have blessed me. Let the gifts You placed in me be stirred, strengthened, and used for the building of Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
