“The Gift of Eternal Life”
Scripture: Romans 6:23
 
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Devotion:
“I owed a debt I could not pay; Jesus paid a debt He did not owe.” This saying isn't solely a hymn or cliché. When sin entered the world, we were bound to die both naturally and spiritually, but God intervened! God’s love for us was so great that He sent His Son to redeem us back to Him. Now we have the right to life, and that more abundantly through Jesus Christ. Life in itself is a gift, but eternal life with our Savior is the ultimate reward. I don’t know about you, but I am so glad Jesus redeemed and saved me, and I am Godly grateful that I can freely serve Him both now and in eternity. We do ourselves and God a disservice when we don't appreciate the gift of new life through Jesus Christ or use our gifts for kingdom-building business. We don’t want to just exist or take up space; we want to live a life of purpose that glorifies God. We want to show others the love of God and the beauty of His saving grace.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of eternal life. Help us live on purpose and in purpose obediently to Your will. We give You all the glory and the praise. Amen.
